Poco Loco Begleri

Affectionately known as the Pocos, these small but mighty begleri sets are one of our most unique designs. They feature one of our Micro Standard beads, which were originally designed as weight inserts for larger shells, but take things a step further along the original design path with the inclusion of a tiny Nano Standard bead. What makes them so unique in feel, apart from the size, is the fact that the nanos were designed to protrude slightly from the base of the Micro bead, giving a very distinctive look and feel. The beads can be played with the protruding nano towards the top, for a more bottom-heavy, stable feel; or with the nano protruding downwards, for a more top heavy, nimble performance (see last photo). The beads feature a 3.5mm "Goldilocks" bore, which is suitable for play on either 550 or 275 paracord.

The Micros are, of course, Hardcore compatible, meaning they can continue to be used as inserts in any of our many Hardcore shells, including our growing free-to-print collection of open-source models. Aroundsquare's Hardcore Gut System is a configurable system of interchangeable weighted cores and exterior bead shells, which lets players build ideal setup by mixing and matching components. The Hardcore system was first launched in 2017, and has expanded over the years to include a wealth of options for players.
